GoogleEarth™ e i file kml-kmz
Lo stesso set di dati consultabile come mash-up con GoogleMap verrà rilasciato periodicamente sotto forma di file kml o kmz (keynote markup language o kml-zip) per GoogleEarth™ da scaricare. Per poter aprire correttamente i file GoogleEarth™ deve essere GIA' installato sul computer (è possibile scaricare gratuitamente GoogleEarth™ dal sito ufficiale).
A differenza delle mappe, i file kml o kmz di GoogleEarth™ non sono aggiornati in tempo reale, ma contengono set di dati aggiornati ad una particolare data che identifica la versione del file rilasciata.

GoogleEarth™ and kml-kmz files
A version of the same map mash-up dataset will be periodically released for download as a kml or kmz (keynote markup language or kml-zip) for GoogleEarth™. To open these files you need to have GoogleEarth™ intalled on your computer (you can download it for free from the official website).
While the "Map" is updated in real time, GoogleEarth™ downloadable kml/kmz files are not, and data contained refer to the release date.
